These terms apply to everyone who uses www.podiwadak.lk ("Podiwadak", "we", "us"), run by PC Guide LK Pvt ltd. By using the site you agree to them. Please also read our Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

1. What Podiwadak is

Podiwadak is a directory that connects customers with independent workers (for example painters, electricians, technicians and home helpers) in Sri Lanka. We are only a bridge. We do not employ the workers, we are not part of any agreement between a customer and a worker, and we do not set, collect or guarantee prices, quality, safety, timing or payment for any work.

We do not check workers' skills, licences, qualifications or background. The only check we make is the ID check for the Verified badge, which confirms a name and photo match an ID document – nothing more. Customers and workers ask each user once to confirm they understand this before contacting a worker, posting a job or taking a job; we keep a record of that confirmation.

2. Who can use it

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a worker profile, post a job or pay for Pro.
  • Workers in home help, childcare and elder care must be 18 or older.
  • You must give true information and use a mobile number that belongs to you. Your account is linked to your number (or your Google account); keep access to it safe.

3. Customers

  • Check a worker yourself before hiring: ask for references or ID, agree the price and work clearly, and do not pay large amounts in advance.
  • Reviews must be honest and about work the worker really did for you.
  • Job ads must describe real work. Do not post phone numbers, personal data of others, or illegal, adult, discriminatory or misleading content.

4. Workers

  • Your profile must be about you and the work you really do. Do not use someone else's photo, name or number.
  • Customers who verify their own number can call or WhatsApp you on the number you gave us. Customer numbers are never shown to you.
  • Your profile must have a real, recent photo of your face.
  • You are independent. Agree the price, the work and payment with each customer before you start. We never pay workers, collect payments for them or guarantee work.
  • Do not send spam, ask for reviews you did not earn, or pressure customers.

5. Podiwadak Pro (paid)

  • Pro is an optional paid plan for workers. Current plans: 1 month – Rs. 850, 3 months – Rs. 1,550, 12 months – Rs. 9,250. Prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees and may change; a change never affects a plan you already paid for.
  • Pro is a one-time payment for a fixed period. It does not renew automatically. It starts when PayHere confirms the payment, or for a bank deposit or transfer when we have checked your slip, and ends at the end of the last day shown on your Pro page.
  • Pro gives a higher place in search results (shared fairly with other Pro workers), the list of people who contacted you with one "I'm available" SMS per person, instant SMS alerts for new jobs that match you, unlimited job replies, more kinds of work on your profile, up to 6 photos of your work (2 without Pro), weekly profile insights and the option to apply for the Verified badge. It does not guarantee any number of calls or jobs.
  • The Verified badge is given only after we check your ID. We may refuse it or remove it if the details do not match.
  • Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

6. Reports and safety

Anyone can report a worker profile or a job ad. Our staff review reports and may hide a profile or remove an ad while they check. We do not tell the reported person who reported them. If you are in danger or a crime has happened, contact the police (119) first.

7. What we may do

We may edit, hide or remove any profile, job ad or review, limit features, or close an account that breaks these terms, harms others, or is fake or misleading. If we close a paid Pro account for breaking these terms, no refund is due. We may change or stop any part of the service; if we stop Pro before your paid period ends, we refund the unused full months.

8. Payments

Online payments are processed by PayHere (PayHere (Pvt) Ltd). We do not see or store your card or bank details. Your bank may show the payment under PayHere or our business name.

You can also pay by bank deposit or transfer to our account shown on your Pro page. Use your own reference number, then upload a photo or PDF of the slip. We check it against our bank statement, usually within 1 working day. If the payment cannot be found or the amount is wrong, we tell you by SMS and Pro is not started.

9. Liability

The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the work, conduct, prices, safety or payments between customers and workers, or for any loss arising from them. Our total liability to you for anything related to the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

10. Content and intellectual property

You keep ownership of what you post, and you allow us to show it on Podiwadak and in links to it. The site design, code and text belong to PC Guide LK Pvt ltd.

11. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction.
